i just finished my very first final exam in DLSU. MY FIRST FINAL EXAM. the very exam which will begin my life as a regular student in de la salle university. and of all the subjects that could have been my first exam, ACCOUNTING pa. the most feared subject of business students in DLSU. i, at first, didn't fear accounting because my mom keeps on telling me that accounting's really easy. and i thought it was, because my 1st quiz was really high (2 mistakes? not bad). well, not in la salle.

accounting is the reason why i have almost sleepless nights this term (and for the next 3 terms). lots of worksheets, business case, journalizing, financial statements. para kaming mga totoong accountants, and to think I'M NOT AN ACCOUNTING MAJOR. kaya wag nyo kaming pahirapan. 70% is really hard to get in this subject, considering the fact that my prof wasn't really supposed to be teaching our block in the 1st place. sha na nagsabi na hindi daw talaga freshmen ang tinuturuan nya. she also doesn't give special projects to increase your grades. she also doesn't adjust grades. as in pag 69.9% ang average mo, sorry, but you have to repeat accounting. 70% ang passing eh. whattaway to welcome us in DLSU. ayan, natakot na tuloy ako sa accounting.

even if my experiences made me hate (at least) accounting, those experiences were learning experiences (patay, reflection mode na ko. pasensya na). all the long hours of studying accounting terms and doing financial statements made me more disciplined. at na-practice pa lalo ang pagka-OC ko. mag-accounting keo, you'll know what i'm talking about. i can say din that i've worked hard enough to survive accounting (even if my grade isn't high). pinapaghirapan ko ang bawat exercise at quiz na pinapasagot samin. but my all-time favorite na nagawa ko for accounting is to study for 11 hours for my finals. AS IN ELEVEN HOURS. pwede ka nang makapunta sa enchanted kingdom nun, nakatulog ka na nang mahaba nun, pwedeng naka-take ka na rin ng ilang subjects nun, nakapagshopping na sana ako nun. but no. from 6pm to 5am nakaupo lang ako sa harap ng study table, studying accounting. favorite talaga, kase record breaker. dati i was proud of myself for being able to study for 6 hours, non-stop. eto eleven hours. san ka pa? yan ang sinasabe kong disiplina na nabigay sa kin ng accounting.

kahit malaki na eyebags ko, ok lang. at least i can say that i'm confident that i'd pass the final exams. yehey. natututo ko nang mahalin ang accounting. promise. bye accom1a, hello ACCOM1B! :)
