Chocolates, anyone?

Oh my gaaash!! This is hell week for me..My main source of hatred towards academic work right now is my CONADEV (Contemporary Economic Development) subject!! It's worse than my majors, it's just pure..gaaaaah. TORTURE. We (my partner, Martin and I) have to submit our final paper on Friday already, and we're having super difficulties on finding sources!! WHAT TO DO! WHAT TO DO!! This is the subject I am so regretting. Why did I take this NOOOOW?? This term??? Gaaah. Ugh.

Another thing bothering me is our defense on Thursday. This is it!! Our business plan presentation! I am just nervous with the fact that Dr. Sarreal will be our guest panelist pfffft. She's just this prof with the "air of superiority" that whenever she's around, it's really hard to be confident. Haha. Why oh why did she choose us as her advisory group?? Aaaaah. (And yeah, I don't have stockings yet! Hafta remember to buy tomorrow!)

FINAMA2 final paper. Having a hard time dealing with my partner. Grrr. I just don't like it when I have to spoonfeed someone. To think he's a year higher than me. Ugh. Aynako, if he doesn't pass his contribution on time, byebye to his name on our paper. Gonna put mine lang. Justifiable? YES.

Oooh. I am so stressed. Chocolates, anyone?

Tito Ed Miana (Camskee's dad)
Eia Silang (my co-DOP! 20 na!)
Jeana Santos (my co-pep dancer back in HS)
Shasha Narvaez (my co-pep din back in HS)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! *confetti* :)

Who would have thought?

JC Officers United.

Aliw. Just last Sunday, we had our Joy Club officers' bible study and I just can't help but take a picture of our feet, because they were all wearing black. :) Starting from the Chucks clockwise, the feet belong to Jovan (president), Marc (PRO), Ivan (PRO), Jeni (Treasurer), Jon (Secretary) and Pat (Vice-Pres). I looove my co-officers. Everybody's willing to work for Joy Club. Yihee, malaki na talaga kami. Hehe. :p

I just finished my part on the needed revisions for our business plan, though I am not completely done yet, because tomorrow will be another day for assigning each person to another part again. As I said on this album on my Multiply site (oops, you should be my contact to see it), major revisions would be made (Our business plan measuring more or less two inches thick was literally, and brutally murdered by our professor. Haha.). But it's okay, we're still enjoying each other's company and hindi pa naman kami nagsasabunutan. Hehe.

Because this week's going to be really busy for Loophole Inc., I am now having time management problems regarding my residency in the Discipline Office. Gaaah how will I able to complete my 5 hours residency this week? Company meetings for revision would be every MWF from 1030am to 3pm (bahala na kung may lunch in between hehe) starting last Friday (I think) to Monday next week, eating up my 5-hour break during MWF. Eeeh that's the time I do my residency eh. Bahala na si Batman, konti na lang meetings yun, besides the business plan's deadline would be on July 26 na. Oh God help us with our revisions. Haha.

Which reminded me of a text message. This was from a friend, Alvin.

"Bakit 'pag hindi niyo na alam ang gagawin niyo, laging ako na lang ang bahala?"
- Batman

Hehe. Which made me think. Where did that expression come from anyway? If you have the answer, I'd be glad to hear it. Hehe. :)

WHICH made me remember. Art in Advertising Seminars by Ms. Zamora of the Marketing Department is so much fun and interesting! (Graaabe, I have company meetings MWF 1030-3 and A in A Seminars MF 1250-220 GOODLUCK TALAGA SA AKIN. Discipline Office work pa. AND. Don't ask when do I have lunch. I can't answer that. Haha.) I initially thought that this would be "just one of those seminars" that we need to attend to for us not to flunk our Marketing subject. Pero I am surprisingly looking forward to the next sessions that we will have with Ms. Zamora. She's just really superb when presenting all the information. Like Ching said, she's already mastered her craft. I sooo love her na (pero mas idol ko si Mommy Elvie, haha!) and even though I do not really regret that Ms. Acosta's my prof (because she's really cool and funny too), I wouldn't resist if I'd be given a chance to become Ms. Zamora's prof (except for the fact that she barely gives grades higher than 2.0-2.5. Hehe.) :)

Some of the things I learned so far from Art in Advertising:

~ (This one I learned even before, but I wanna share this to you.) That when you talk to a person or ask him/her a question, when the person looks to his/her right, the person is "remembering the image", but if the person looks to his/her left, the person is "constructing the image". Which implies that most probably, he/she lies. This is a good exercise for you people who have girlfriends of boyfriends, it's time to test this one. Hahaha. :p ~

~ When you talk to someone and he/she usually looks up, the person is a visual person. If he/she looks around within eye level, the person is an auditory person. If he/she usually looks down, the person is a kinesthetic person. These could be applied on the style of learning, the visual person learns more through photos, charts, graphs, etc. The auditory person can learn just from listening to the lecturer, and the kinesthetic person learns more when hands-on experience is given to him/her. :)~

(And these are particulary interesting.)

Mightor

~ Mightor (if you remember him, I see him on TV before eh) is a tribal character. (Characteristics of the tribal: indigenous, celebration of nature and life) ~

Mighty Thor

~ Mighty Thor is an ancient character. (Characteristics of ancient: manifestation of power; perfected the use of fire and metal.) Sooo that's why he has some kind of metal hammer as a weapon. Haha. ~

Wonder Woman

~ Wonderwoman is a hellenic character. (Characteristics of hellenic: focused on harmony, balance, peace.) Is that the reason why she's a girl? So guys are not harmonic, balanced, and peaceful? Haha. :p ~

Yoda

~ Yoda is a medieval character. (Characteristic: Talked a lot about God and hell.) Erm, how is it connected to Yoda? Sorry, not a Star Wars fan. :p ~

Batman

~ Batman is a gothic character. (Characteristics: Darkness; alienation) Yeah, he's dark. But still cool. :) So that's where Gotham City came from. :) ~

Superman

~ Superman is a renaissance character. (Characteristics: realistic; happy; colorful) Opposite of Batman, Superman's really full of color. I love him. :) ~

Spiderman

~ Spiderman is a baroque character. (Characteristic: distortion) One way to see this characteristic is Spiderman's poses on pictures are usually "grotesque". This is according to Ms. Zamora. Ikaw kaya, mag-pose ng ganyan diba?? Hahaha. ~

Spawn

~ Spawn's a rococo character. (Characteristic: Opulent; full of embellishment) I am not familiar with this character (or I could have forgotten lang), but ang cool he's definitely rococo. :) ~

~ James Bond is a classical character. (Characteristic: Singularity of message) Yeah, James Bond IS James Bond. ~

The Droids

~ The Droids are modern characters. (Characteristic: self-expression) It's really obvious from these characters. And the one who made this clearly expressed him/herself. ~

Hulk

~ Hulk is a minimalist character. (Characteristic: Repeated message) Since the drawing's minimal, you just get the same impression everytime you look at it. You don't usually get new insights/observations on the character each time you see it.

~ Kato's an ethnic character. (Characteristic: identity; distinguishable) We must not be confused between ethnic and tribal. Ethnic is more specific, you know where the character came from. Pero I don't know how he (the one at the back ata is Kato) became an ethnic character. I don't know him kasi eeeh. Haha. ~

I'm excited for Friday's Art in Advertising. Have to remember to bring a camera, for the notes! :)

I just can't get enough. :)

Grabeee. I am a fan na of Mommy Elvie!!! Hahahaha! To those who don't know, Mommy Elvie's the lola na pa-extra-extra lang sa "Misadventures of Maverick and Ariel", and she's Ariel's mommy (mommy talaga kahit sa totoong buhay), tapos I recently knew lang that she has her own show na pala in ABC5, entitled "Mommy Elvie's Problematic Show"!!! It's been on air since June 19! Since hindi na talaga ako masyado nakakanood ng tv, hindi ko nalaman agaaad! The moment I heard pa lang the title of her own show, natawa na ko e. Benta talaga si Mommy Elvie!! Hehehe :D Watch it, watch it. Every Tuesday, 10pm! Sabay-sabay tayo!!! :)

Laughtrip sa bahay ngayon. Sobraaa. We've been watching Youtube videos (mostly my sister and I), and sobrang nakakatawa! We love it hehe. Wanna laugh out loud and brighten up your day? Click away then go back here to comment on my tagboard (You can vote for your favorite! ;)

Money Pookiaw (To those who haven't seen this, naku, you're missing a lot. :p)

Evolution of Dance (Performed by Judson Laipply; inspirational comedian daw. It's not that funny, but this is really interesting. ^_^)

Sabi ko na nga eh, I just can't get enough of these videos. :D

Accidentally in love. :)

Shrek2's soundtrack "Accidentally In Love" by Counting Crows is stuck on my mind!!

Weekend has passed, and I still have no idea if I have overlooked any homeworks. Why? Because I haven't looked at my "My Evil Little Plan(ner)" yet! Because the past week had been very, very busy, ayoko na muna mag-acads! Forget about it muna. Hehe. Relying on my stock knowledge, wala naman akong homework na naaalala (oh please let me be correct). :) And since I got to have time off, I had a blast during weekend. :) Nothing special na pinuntahan or whatever, I just got to spend my time with people worth spending time with. :)

*Current mood: Overjoyed :)*

Hay, hay, hay. :) You know the feeling pag in love? Ganun. It's just like everything is pretty. Sana always na lang ganito, para no worries. Hay nako, don't mind me first, I can't blog nang maayos. :p

*Presently trying out mom's newly-purchased brand new Vaio laptop*

Amazing, I love it. I have to have a smaller version of thiiiis! :) And less agawan na with siblings, because the router's working well. Ayyy I love love. :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENZTOT (Benz Bermudez) AND SUGAR DADDY JAKE (Carlo Pondevida)!!! Hehe. Mwaaaaaah! :)

Life's Remote Control

Take this test at Tickle

Joanne, you can simplify your life by cutting back at work.

You're a career-oriented person who's not afraid to log some long hours to get the job done — and done right. Your peers admire your drive and creativity and nothing feels better than hearing your boss or clients compliment your work. But, you know, if you glance out a window for a minute, you'll notice that there's a whole world going on out there, and you just might be missing a lot of it.

While it's great that you're so committed to your career, you've got to make sure you're not forgetting about friends, family, and fun. We know you've got bills to pay and goals to attain, but don't make work your whole life. And if you just can't figure out a way to scale back your hours, then at least make sure you're planning a nice vacation — without your laptop or cell phone.

How Can You Simplify Your Life?

Brought to you by Tickle

---> I just decided to take this test because I'm interested on what the results could be. And there it is, above. Yiiiikes. Am I THAT workaholic now?? Sure, I get stressed along the way, buuut. It's like I just can't find myself enjoying "too much" (maybe too much for me isn't really too much naman) when there's so much more to dooo. Parang nakaka-guilty that you're out there, having fun etc but at the back of your mind, you know you have something to finish?? Gaaah. I was never like this when I was in HS. College lang nag-manifest yung workaholic trait ko. Hm, is it because I value work more now, or talagang dumami lang yung ginagawa that I was forced to be workaholic? Help. So, I was recommended by this test to take time out from work. Anybody want to date me? :) Hehe.

---> Then I took more tests. Haha. (O, this is taking time out na ha! :p) Among all the questions I encountered, I particularly found this one below very, very interesting. :)

13. If life had a remote control, which button would you rather hit?
a) Pause
b) Record
c) Rewind
d) Fast Forward
e) Eject

---> That was a really hard question to answer. :) It took me about 2 minutes to come up with an answer. Hehe. Definitely, I wouldn't choose eject. Though there are times wherein I really want to give up because of all the pressures around me (and kahit internal pressures!), I don't want to push "eject". Life's too much fun to just let your life be ejected from this world. :) Fast forward? I don't think so. Mga moments of humiliation, pwede pa sana. Buuut, yun lang eh. So I still won't choose it. I was left choosing between pause, record and rewind. Record, yeah. It would be nice that you get to remember everything you want to, pero I don't know. Parang it just didn't appeal to me that much. Between pause and rewind, I chose pause. :) It was a hard decision to make ha! Hehe. Rewind kasi, it's nice to go back to those times wherein I felt really happy, or even really sad. It makes me appreciate more what I have become now because of my past experiences. :) Perooo, pause pa rin. I wouldn't be given the chance to go back once my life starts to "play", but at least I can freeze moments. Unforgettable moments. Moments that I wish would be just there. Siguro a reason why I chose this is because I lack this too. I mean, if a "moment" comes my way, I oftentimes just let it pass..without me savoring each moment. I look forward too much most of the time, that I tend to forget to enjoy the present. So now, I have to learn to appreciate a loved one's hugs and kisses (without me being ilang haha), to just stay really focused during heart to heart talks with friends, to be proud of every thing I accomplish. To just be there, in THAT situation, whatever it may be. :)

I chose the PAUSE button. What's yours? :)

Pixel Perfect

I found the urge to blog even if it's 9:08 in the morning and I haven't eaten breakfast yet. Haha. Excited for what's in store for me today, 07/07/07. :)

UAAP 70th season starts later at 1pm! This is it! Comeback of the De La Salle Green Archers. Now bigger, and better! And yes, I'll be there at the big dome, cheering them on ;) And call me a loser, but I'm about to watch Transformers pa lang later (which reminds me. I have to check the theater scheds!). Who cares? I'm just going to watch it because everyone who has watched the movie said that it's worth it. Kahit na hindi ko naman talaga plano manood, sige na rin. *Erm, peer pressure* Haha. :D

Lucky, lucky..she's so lucky. :)

Saan nga bang song 'to? With that line above? Haha. Naku, if I remember it right, sa dance rev yata sa Playstation. Haha. Aww I miss playing PS. Pft. Wala lang, I just felt taking pictures of anything last Wednesday. :D

This is it! This is it!

Went inside CSB, and I took this shot. Haha. This poster is displayed in front of their Student Publications Office, where everyone who passes by would be able to see this green (nice nice color!) congratulatory sign. Woot woot! Patingin na nung sinulat mo! Even Ching wants to see it, kasi pangarap din niyang maging writer. :)

I still get support from these gorgeous friends, even online. :)

Thank god there's YM. Last Thursday, as I was stressing over (with my YM status as "I. AM. DOOMED.") on my midterm paper which was due the next day, windows came popping up every once in a while. Messages which made me smile, because these friends of mine (despite they were kind of disturbing me from my work haha :p) were concerned enough to check on me every 10 minutes or so, if I was still doing fine, if I already ate dinner (or midnight snacks!), if I need help, or by simply just telling me "Kaya mo yan, Jon! Go! :)" Hay. I love love love you people. :) The midterm paper didn't go as planned, pero the time spent chitchatting with my friends was well-treasured. :)

But this one gave me the biggest smile. :)

Akalain mo yun? A YM status solely dedicated for me? Haha. Thanks Kyle, sweetheart ka talaga. :)

Jon, now signing off to do ENTRES business plan with my meangirls colleagues! :)

CSB student wins sportswriting tilt

07/03/2007

Wilfred Evan Jotojot, a student from College of St. Benilde, won the firstever PBA-PBAPC National Sportswriting Contest held last March at the Araneta Coliseum.

Organized by the PBA Press Corps and supported by PBA Commissioner’s Office through Media Bureau chief Willy Marcial, Jotojot bested-more than 40 participants from different schools in the country to bag the P20,000 cash prize.

Josiah Israel Albelda of UP-Diliman copped the second place and P10,000 while Jiorg Michael Atutubo of Centro Escolar University placed third and pocketed P5,000. All winners will receive certificates from the organizers.

Awarding will be on Friday, July 6, during halftime of the battle for third place between San Miguel Beer and Red Bull also at the Big Dome. Winners are requested to come early. The three winners may reach Hazel Ancheta at the PBA Office (638-1815 to 17) for further queries about the awarding.

(From "The Daily Tribune" website, http://www.tribune.net.ph/sports/20070703spo3.html)

Yes, folks. He won the FIRST PRIZE. :) Super duper proud of you waaaah. :) Ang galing galing. Who would have thought that he'd win the P20k?? I don't think he even expected it. The contest was on March pa, and who would have thought that after 3 months or so, bigla na lang may P20k jan na lalabas sa harap niya? Eh kailan ka lang naging writer Jov, ha? College lang? Truly. You had it in you. Tama na ang pagka-talented. Hehe.

Asked him, the contest daw was, the participants were made to watch a PBA game (tama ba?). Then in one hour, they should be able to write an article (a gamestory, that's what I remember texting me Jov) and submit it after the allotted time has finished.

So, that was challenging. But since this guy over here is a really good writer (na feeling niya hindi naman daw), siyempre, he deserved the most-coveted 1st prize. Yiheee. :) I want to be there pa naman during the awarding, that's how proud I am. Kaso I have a quiz on that day and time. Pft. *Isipin ko na lang, nandun ako! Hahaha*

I haven't got a hold of what he wrote on the contest yet, but I'm sure it was really great. Yan ang napapala ng mga procrastinator noh dear, mas expert gumawa ng article pag may time constraint. Hahaha. :p

Such a big, big blessing. :)

Congratulations Princey! :)

We're All in This Together :)

OMG I am laptopping and wireless Internet-ing! :) Mom bought a router para hindi kami (siblings, including my mom :p) mag-aagawan on who will use the net. Because of this router, I can (1) surf all the way baby even if I'm in my room, and (2) Ate Marian and Jason wouldn't be pushing me away from the pc/laptop when it's their turn to use the net. Whoopee. Technology, you are sooo great. :) *as excited like a child getting his 1st roller coaster ride*

I can't believe it's the midterm exam week already! I'm already half done with the term, and lo and behold, sandali na lang, it'll be another term! Another enrollment, another schedule, new sets of professors and classmates! And counting my days left in DLSU, I only have 3 terms (or 9 months more or less) to savor every moment I am inside the campus! To enjoy with friends, love and treasure my DO work, and shempre, to explore whatever it is that needs exploring pa in my school! Like the Marie Mutien hall, hindi pa ko nakakapasok dun ever! And the famous black gulaman in a bottle drink sold at Z2; hindi ko pa siya natitikman kasi parang itim na nga, feeling ko pa lasang goma pag ininom ko hahaha. The Andrew building, hindi ko pa na-eexperience yung library dun! Or the study halls there. Hindi ko pa natitikman lahat ng pagkain sa Agno (haha accomplishment yun pag nasuyod ko buong Agno at nakain lahat ng binebenta dun :p)! I have less than a year to complete and accomplish everything! Huhuhu *I don't want to graduate!!!!*

Moving on, I just want to share to you feefol that I recently acted on stage! After how many years (4 or 5?), umarte ulit ako sa stage! It wasn't really big, but one of my hidden passions is to act or dance on stage. Basta I like performing too. :) Unlike Rach and Pat who are really exposed to these kinds of activities, ako medyo underdog ako compared to them haha. But whenever there's an opportunity to act on stage, promise yayain niyo ko, hindi ako tatanggi! Haha. Basta I'm also fond of watching stage plays, and the like. It's like I always imagine myself as one of the characters. :) So yun na nga, I acted for our SPS (Student Personnel Services) Variety Show, wherein the Discipline Office is a part of. The theme was "Kabalikat" or something close to that, so our office thought of having a simple stage play with a simple plot showing the theme for the SPS Week. It's a really cliche story where there's this rich family with a matapobre dona Corazon and her husband Felipe with the kids Miguel and Lisa, living in a barrio. Tapos surrounding their house were poor families, including the family of Nelia, with her husband Toto, and the kids, Bokbok and Poknat (I knoooow). The story would be the rich family's house would be on fire tapos they'd be left with nothing. Even if Dona Corazon is matapobre (tama ba? I'm having this thought that matapobre means poor haha. A basta, I'm using matapobre with the definition na walang hiya :p), the poor families help them out, and Nelia and Toto even volunteered that the rich family live in their house for the meantime.

It's a really simple story. Pero the point here is, I acted after many years!! Hahaha. Originally, I got the role of Nelia, the poor mom. At first, I wasn't that excited because: UNA, it's so hard for me to act poor (yeah, tinatawanan nila [my co-DOPs] ako kasi nagrereklamo akong hindi ako marunong umarte ng mahirap at parang inaapi), and PANGALAWA, I don't want to wear a bestida. Wahaha. I know, mababaw and maarte, pero kasi at the back of my mind, I wanted more the role of Dona Corazon, the coniotic, mataray, bungangerang Dona of the rich family. Originally, the role was Camae's. Pero after two times (or was is once lang?) of practicing, they found Camae to be really mahinhin in portraying the role of Dona Corazon. So ito na ako, I volunteered myself to take the place of Dona Corazon! And really, it suited me more. Hahaha. So swap kami ni Camae sa role. :) And I remember having a texting session with Mike, we talked about the play. I was talking about how happier I am on getting Dona Corazon's role, pero I also told him that I wasn't really satisfied with how I acted on that one day of practice, parang kulang pa kasi sa effort. But hindi ko alam kung nanttrip si Mike, pero I considered it as a compliment that one of his text messages said "Bagay nga sayo yung role mo e, maarte ka rin kasi." Wahaha. Really, I had no hard feelings. Natuwa pa nga ako e. Kasi yeah, I admit. Maarte ako. And I love it. :p Hindi naman maarte in a way na annoying na e,l that's what I think. Hahaha.

What happened to the SPS Variety Show play? It was really a success! Among the offices under the SPS, kami na yung pinaka-unique because most of the offices were dance numbers lang, and it was kind of hard to see pano na-incorporate yung theme dun. Pero, some naman were enjoyable. :)

After pa pala nung play, we dance the famous High School Musical dance, "We're All in This Together".

Congratulations to us, DOs and DO Paragons! :)

[We have pictures ata from the DO cam, will post them in Multiply later on :)]

I had a hard time.

Since I reaaaally don't have time to blog yet, here. Pampalubag-loob. :)

Each player of this game starts with 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well and state the rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that says you are tagged in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

a. I enjoy eating spaghetti more minus the sauce. Hehe.
b. I am inlove but not really.
c. I like arranging my clothes according to the colors of the rainbow. (Pero hindi siya nakaayos ngayon because our helper just puts my clothes inside my closet after labahan and after ironing. Pft.)
d. Ang laki ng tiyan ko (kahit sabihin niyong hindi) :p
e. I really don't like waiting, pero pag pinaghintay mo ko, hindi halatang naaasar ako. Haha.
f. I love snuggling and cuddling with people I love (I think about it most of the time), but I get ilang when they start being affectionate to me. (Which shows that I really am contradicting)

I tag:

Ching, Cla, Mae, Bea, Aeda, Ariane :)
