ORIENT2 fun! :)

Magkkwento ako about my ORIENT2 1st session nung Saturday, September 22. :)

Spiritual Development and Career Planning Workshop

The day's worth sharing, 'coz I had LOTS of fun nitong Saturday na 'to! Some interesting topics, at the same time, over sa laughtrip! Haha. Truly, the people in my section (yung group namin especially, which was a BOYS group -- naligaw si bruha :p) made my ORIENT2 unforgettable. Haha. :)

Hearing from my other friends who have already taken up ORIENT2, I had this impression that ORIENT2 is just another Saturday to waste. (Kamusta naman, title pa lang seen on the caption of my photo, boring na pakinggan eh.) Well, it could be that we'd learn things, especially planning for our future, but because most sessions were boring, I had less motivation to go. But being a school requirement (and my parents paid for it!), I still went. (P.S. 8:30 am pa yung session..*die*)

(SEGWAY: I am so overwhelmed. Hindi ako mapirmi. Haha I duno why. I'm so giddy, I have so much to do, important and unimportant ones. Hehe.)

I am proud to say that I arrived school at 8:20. Yay! I had 5 minutes pa to pass by my beloved Discipline Office, to say hi to the people there, si Ms. Christy and Ms. Joey pa lang at that time. 8:25, I went to the ORIENT2 classroom already. We were made to answer the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II test, much like the Personality Plus test I took up at church. Pero this test would say if you're Extrovert/Introvert, Sensing/Intuitive, Thinking/Feeling, Judging/Perceiving.

Based on my answers, I got the ENTJ temperament. Extrovert-Intuitive-Thinking-Judging. Hm. And this is the description.

"Hearty, frank, decisive, leaders in activities. Usually good in anything that requires reasoning and intelligent talk, such as public speaking. Are usually well-informed and enjoy adding to their fund of knowledge. May sometimes appear more positive and confident than their experience in an area warrants."

Not that far from my HS guidance test, when I took the test when I was in 2nd year (I think), I got ESTJ. Instead of Sensing, I became Thinking na in college. Hmm. This is the ESTJ description.

"Practical, realistic, matter-of-fact, with a natural head for business or mechanics. Not interested in subjects they see no use for, but can apply themselves when necessary. Likes to organize and run activities. May make good administrators, especially if they remember to consider others' feelings and point of view."

Still applies to me. Even up to now. And in fairness, both descriptions are similar to my Choleric temperament. Woohoo I love it. I love being choleric. :) Even if sometimes it makes me unpopular, still, I embrace my fabulous temperament. *Trash my Melancholic side!* Hahaha evil :D

So yun. Lots of activities were done pa (interesting lahat, actually) but if I tell everything here, wala nang magbabasa ng entry! Hahah! Because this would be an overly-egocentric entry na! :p Puro na lang ako, ako. Pero, that's what blogs are supposed to be, diba? Haha. Sabay save sa sarili. :p

Laughtrip sessions were when we had the group activities. One where we had to "shop" for needs seen in the Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Second, where we had this famous "end of the world but you can only save 8 people" activity.

Since I'm almost always destined to be one of the boys (Shucks, nagdududa na ko sa sarili ko ha..Hehe kiddin), I had this group wherein we were 10 in the group (Micko, Mico, Mon, Karwin, EJ, Mark, JOANNE [well, I am Jon in school naman so pwede na ring boy haha], and 3 others I don't remember the name..Sorry!). And we know what happens when a group is an all-boy group. Chaos na 'to! And that's exactly what happened. All our presentations were laughtrip, pero sensible ha, FYI. :p Bida namin in the group: MON! Dry humor grabe, he doesn't make faces pag humihirit siya, pero sumakit cheeks namin sa kakatawa! Hehe! I just can't describe how fun it was to be his groupmate, because my words won't justify just how funny he was. Whew. He's the funniest person I've met so far in my entire life. Haha! Ang sarap tumawa with the boys. No pretentions eh, walang poise tumawa. Hehe. And I love that.

And come this activity. Ice breaker daw according to our facilitator (Who was fun too, BTW. Former Lasallista eh.) kahit na na-break na yung ice. Haha. We played this game where the facilitator made each group line up in front of the blackboard. Then she will say a letter. Whatever that letter will be, it'll be the basis on how we will write our sentence on the board, kasi every word in our sentence should start with that letter mentioned. One member corresponds to one word in the sentence. So we have to come up with a sensible sentence using the letter that the facilitator gave us.

Trial Round: Letter A, English.

Our group came up with this: "An atis and apple aren't always appreciated, although are ample."

Ayos! We had the most sensible sentence among four groups! Kaso trial lang. Haha. After that trial parang ewan na yung mga sentences namin. Haha that's where the laughtrip really had its climax. Iba talaga mag-isip ang mga lalake. Iba!

How I wished talaga I wrote down all our nonsense benta sentences! Hindi ko na maalala sa dami eh! But here are some things I remember:

Letter T, English.

"Timothy the terrible terminated the teacher that taught thesis today."

O san kayo dun! Haha may sense pa rin pala kaming ginawa! Hehe!

Letter D, Taglish.

"Doon dapat dumating dati daw dumungaw doorway doctor daddy Doodle."

KAMUSTA NAMAN YUN! Hahah! DOCTOR DADDY DOODLE! Grabe I had a hard time getting over this, sobra! Hehe! XD

Letter M, Taglish.

"Mister Mcdonald Mark Miguel Martin Macapagal Mendoza mahilig mag-make money." (Names were altered na, I can't remember all the exact names we put eh!)

I loved this too, mautak eh. Gumawa ng ubod ng haba na pangalan para konti na lang sa huli. Haha!

Ito ata yung last round namin, laughtrip pa rin 'coz emo na yung dating eh..except for one word. Wahehe. At ako pa yung nagsulat. Nyahaha. Yun lang naisip namin eh! XD

Letter L, English.

"Love, lust, lies lingers, lasts, longer like lions, leopards, lepers."

San galing yung lepeeers??? Di ko rin alam! Heheh! Pero the sentence doesn't mean anything pa rin naman kahit wala yung lepers.. XD

Of all the rounds, we only got 1 point. At pinagbigyan pa kami nun wahahaha. BUT as Mon (bida!) said, kahit hindi kami nanalo or pinakamababa points namin, PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD naman kami! Wala talbog sila sa sentences namin! Hehe! :D

I'm loving ORIENT2. Haha!

Guys really ARE something. Pero pang-laughtrip lang muna sila talaga. Wahehe. :p

Hello second term. :)

My best hug I received for the day was from Ate Momi Normi. :)

Don't ask, I just felt the sisterhood from the hug. Ate Normi, thanks. AP na kita forever ha? I love the text and kwentuhan sessions. You'll still be my AP kahit I'm also with Tita Jet na. Para may builder Paul din ako. So I'd be Super Timothy with two wonderful Pauls. Yay I love it :)

Backtrack. I've been NOT blogging for quite some time now. Parang I didn't even blog about my one week term break. Haha. I was too tamad to blog about it, pero the term break went well rin naman. I wouldn't say that I've been productive (because my room's still a mess, lots of piles of papers from last term, kahit nga two terms ago eh haha), but at least I got all the sleep that I wanted. That's important. And paka-glutton everyday. Tapos di pa rin tumataba. O, wag mainggit. Exerting effort to gain weight (and stay sexy) isn't an easy job, you know. Teehee. :D

Finally, I got to visit Pat in her apartment (very) near my school last Thursday. And I love their place. (Sayang Momi Normi, hindi tayo nagkita dun.) It's gonna be my Thursday hangout place na. Pat and I just spent the whole afternoon playing games on their PC, and enjoy mataranta sa games, because we were supposed to meet Tita Jet for our first Paul-Timothy session, kaya lang being a very busy woman, Tita Jet cancelled at the last minute. Hehe. The games we played on the PC were Diner Dash, Bounce Out, Mystery Case Files, and other stressful games. Hehe. And oh, this is worth mentioning. Nilibre kami ni JV (Pat's cousin and our churchmate, living with them in the apartment) at Josiah's Restaurant at UN! Kahit hindi tuloy ang AP date, still, we ate there. Hehe. Loyal eh. :p And yun, nanlibre si JV! Pat and I were kind of broke kasi, so praise the Lord JV was there to save us from eating a not so yummy lunch. So masarap na pagkain ang nakain namin! Haha. :D

After that, we went back to the apartment to hangout. Kankan (Did I get the spelling right?), JV's girlfriend, also joined us in the apartment. Then sabay na silang bumalik at CSB to have class. So Pat and I were left there. Then moments later, Jovan arrived naman to hangout too, since it was his breaktime. Konting kape, games, iPod, at beanbag lang, okay na! Hehe. Jov left din after a while to catch his 6pm class. Then Kuya EJ arrived later. Haha puro salisihan yung mga tao. This is the part I regret that I left our cam at home, when in fact the previous days, it was just on my bag. Pffft. SBC mini-reunion yun. Meeting many churchmates all in one day. Haha. I left the apartment at around 9pm na (and I was there since 1pm haha adiiiik), because I so enjoyed staying there.

Next Thursday ulit. And the next. And the next. And the next. Yay! Haha :p

1st day high!
Haggard from commuting, but still. Fabulous. Hah. :p

Also, I just spent my first week of my 2nd term of this school year. And as a tradition, I always tell stories and my comments on my new professors. Masaya gawin, because when I look back in my archives (pag senti mode) and get to read them, some of my first impressions with my professors lasted for the whole term, but then, there are those where I hated the professor at first, but came to love him/her as time passed. Hehe.

COMSTA2 (Commerce Statistics 2). Looking and following my flowchart, I should have taken this subject nung 2nd term of my 2nd year pa. But now I'm in my 2nd term of my 3rd year na. So I'm one year late already. Why, you ask? Because there's usually only one professor who teaches this subject, and I've been hearing feedback that Prof. Malaya is not really that okay. I don't know why. Iba-iba e. But I had no choice. As much as I try to avoid her and wait for new professors to teach this subject, wala talaga. So the heck, I took it na rin. Haha. Wala eh, hindi ako makatakas. Hehe. As of now, I'm still not sure if she's strict or not, but what I know is she's kind of particular when it comes to attendance. (And this worries me, because she's my 1st period prof.) She even made us leave one whole column in our seating arrangement, and this column would be for latecomers in our class. I'M DOOMED. Haha.

PRODMAN (Production Management). It's cool to know that my prof here is a Christian, as in the same faith as mine. He inserts his experiences and testimonies from time to time when he discusses in class. Another thing I like about him too is Mr. Bolinao's a really humorous professor, kaya kahit papaano he doesn't make the class too bored in listening to him. Updated pa lagi sa latest news. Hehe. Mr. Bolinao is also my churchmate's (Tita Vi, who used to be a professor in DLSU) good friend. Being a quite quantitative subject (which, by the way, is one of my majors), medyo nakaka-worry lang na it's been three meetings already, and he hasn't taught anything quantitative yet. Well, we'll see about that. :)

BUCOTAX (Business and Income Taxation). My professor here in my law subject is a repeat-professor. Atty. Tomboc was my PARTCOR (Law on Partnerships and Corporations) professor last term, and obviously, I got her again because she's okay as a professor. Siyempre, I got a good grade from her last term, and this time, I am expecting the same, or even a better grade. :D

MANPERS (Personnel Management). Another one of my majors. My professor here is Mr. Paderna. Or is it a miss? Or whatever. Haha. I'm not really sure. Baka naman feminite lang. I have that to find out. I have a whole term (give or take, three months) to investigate. Hehe! Pero okay rin, Sir Paderna's makwela, so, so far, I don't get bored pa naman considering that the subject takes 1.5 hours. He also has workshop sessions, and I'm looking forward to it because mukhang masaya naman yun.

ENGLTRI (Advanced Speech and Oral Communication). A.K.A. public speaking. This is one subject I am taking this term that's quite unplanned. But anyway, let's not talk about that. My professor here is Dr. Lucas, she's the vice chair of the English Department of our school. My first impression: she's intimidating. (1) She has DR. attached on her name, indicating that she's an expert in the field, therefore having high standards; (2) She's the VICE CHAIR of the University's English Department. But. The moment she talked, I realized that she's not that I-am-a-sophisticated-English-goddess-so-bow-to-me-and-worship-me kind of professor. She's kind of reaching out to her students naman when she started discussing lessons. But. Two things I don't like: 1st, her voice. It's way too noisy and loud for me. Considering I am seated at the last row of the classroom, that is, before she arranged us alphabetically (which makes me seated on the 2nd row now). Call me rude and mean, but this is the only way I can make you guys imagine how irritating her voice is. Parang nag-e-English na palengkera. Ganun. But I'm not blaming her. Kung ganun talaga boses niya eh, so be it. I just hope she'll be nice to us to make up for her voice. Samaaaa. 2nd reason, she's easily irritable. Konting ingay lang, she'll shush us immediately with her matching "I am irritated" face. Haha. Pero comparing it to my other classes, looks like my English class would be a noisy class. Lagot hehe.

I have another subject, which is my Practicum subject. There's no fixed schedule, so we haven't met our adviser yet during this term. But we already know her, because she was our group's professor during our ENVSCAN (Environmental Scanning) days, and she was a panel member in our business plan defense (which by the way, got a grade of 93%, 3rd or 4th (ata) highest among 19 groups. Weee proud!). :D

Hello, second term. :)

Pampaganda ng blog page. Haha kiddin.

I stole from your Friendster, pare. (Just in case you drop by my blog. Haha.) I gotta see you dance again. Swear. Kailan pa yung last? When we were in 3rd year HS? C'mon. You've gotten better ever since, and I'm proud of you. :) Layo na ng nararating mo ha! Pero still, down to earth ka pa rin. Yes naman. Hehe. Thanks for the chat sessions, you always remind me that there's this Melman I can turn to when I feel like ranting or even telling great moments in my life. :) Can't believe we still keep in touch even if we really haven't seen each other for about two years na ata. Ganun talaga pag Jojo-Melmel tandem eh, noh? Basta mehn, thanks. I mean it. O, yung arranged marriage ha? Bwahehehe. Apir. Wuvyouuu Melman :)

I made this because..it's his birthday! Just a simple gift for a special person. :)

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY MY MELVIN "MELMEL" (I call him that haha) MANALO! :D

The Power of Friendster

*Breathe in, breathe out*

I officially have a stalker.

Classics 2

Classics Style

The Most Brilliant God's Creation

My Inspiration

These photos are on his Friendster account with those subtitles.

My Friendster Shoutout: "Hey there, I am a damsel in distress. Can you be my Hercules?" :)

His Friendster Shoutout: "I'm not strong as Hercules..But I'm willing to be your protector..Forever.."

OMG. Kamusta naman yun.

Whew, that was a lot to grasp. Flattering yes, freaky, yes. Sure, I've seen my photos appear on different profiles in Friendster that aren't mine (way back pa when I set my profile for the public to see, which I don't really do anymore) many times already (I got to know these from my friends who were once confused on which profile is the real one), but this person. This particular one. He's different. 'Coz I know him, but I also don't.

I found out about his profile (BTW, we're not contacts in Friendster, second degree friends lang) when I was looking inside my inbox. I was browsing through my old messages when I suddenly saw a familiar headshot, that is, my photo nga. (He sent me a message na pala before, during my birthday. He just sent a birthday greeting. Too bad I don't have the habit of erasing old messages. Haha.) Of course I became curious on who this guy may be. Kasi I don't remember na rin eh. Then it dawned on me. It was HIM. Itong tatahi-tahimik na bata na 'to pero may kras na pala kay yours truly. Hahaha.

We know each other, but we really don't. I mean, yeah. We got introduced to each other once, and I see him once in a while. BUUUUT. I didn't have an idea na lakas tama pala ako sa kanya. Haha. Graaar. It's really flattering. But at the same time, kind of scary. Because behind that I-don't-care-with-what-is-going-on-around-me facade, may ganung tama pala siya. Hehe. Seriously, he's one of the guys I "know" na sobrang galing gumawa ng front. Hindi obvious, grabe. Well, maybe because we don't really talk. Pero c'mon, but when you do talk to someone who likes you, kahit konti (even if you're not sure), you feel if something's different di ba? With this particular guy, akala ko talaga wala. Then I suddenly see my photos on his Friendster..Kamusta. Haha.

I just blogged about it kasi I just don't know how to act now when I see him or whatever (even if he doesn't know that I lurk on his Friendster too). How are you supposed to act normally when at the back of your mind, alam mong may tinatago 'tong mapagpanggap na batang ito? Haha.

Funny world. Tawa na lang tayo. XD

And dear, maybe you would want to know me more first, because maybe I'm not the most brilliant God's creation (though I was really flattered by that. Teehee), which you think I am. Hehe.

Psychoanalyzing Myself.

Since I'm too tamad to update on what's new in my life now (mamaya na yun), here. I got this from Friendster. Haha. :)

Psychoanalyze Yourself:
Answer the following questions with the first thought that comes to mind. Then read which each answer means.

(No cheating!) - Okay. Okay. I got it.

1. You are not alone. You are walking in woods.Who is with you?
- My special someone. Eeee *kilig* :)

2. You are walking in the woods. You see an animal. What kind of animal?
- A deer. Si Bambi!

3. What interaction takes place between you and the animal?
- Something like Snow White's. Where the animals aren't scared to go near her. :)

4. You walk deeper in the woods. You enter a clearing, and before you is your DREAM house. How big is it?
- Uhm. My dream house is not appropriate if it's situated in the woods. Haha. So I'm just thinking of a small cabin, a cozy one. With smoke coming out of its chimney. Yung classic.

5. Is your dream house surrounded by a fence?
- Nope. Pero maraming colorful flowers yay :)

6. You enter the house. You walk into the dining room and see the dining room table. What do you see on AND around it?
- I see lots of food. Tapos yung mga favorite ko pa. Like the house was really for me. :p Then around it are furniture and designs which are colorful and happy :)

7. You exit the house and a cup is on the ground, what kind is it?
- Gusto ko mug. Yung may glittery water design outside it. Haha para kikay :p

8. What do you do with the cup?
- Pick it up and take it with me kung walang may ari. Hehe.

9. You walk to the edge of the property where you find yourself standing at the edge of a body of water. What kind of body of water is it?
- A flowing river. With crystal clear water.

10. How will you cross the water?
- Sugod ako. I like to feel the water. :)

THE INTERPRETATION:

1. The person who you are walking in the woods with is the most important person in your life. [Yeah, could be. Life partner ito, pare. :p]

2. The size of the animal is representative of your perception of the size of your problems in your life. [Ooh, so I have relatively smaller problems than other people? Siguro nga. I should be thankful :)]

3. The severity of the interaction you have with the animal is representative of how you deal with your problems. [Sooo..What does that mean? That problems aren't scared of going near me? Hahaha kidding. So I handle problems gracefully? Weh.]

4. The size of your dream home is representative of the size of your ambition to solve your problems. [Haha. Ganon. I have a small ambition of solving my problems? :p]

5. A lack of a fence is indicative of an open personality. People are welcome at all times. The presence of a fence indicates a closed personality. You'd prefer people not to drop by unannounced. [So true. May colorful flowers pa akin, welcome na welcome! Hehe.]

6. If your answer did NOT include food, flowers, or people, then you are generally unhappy. [Yay! I have food! Haha. Bakit walang color? Dapat included yung color!]

7. The durability of the material with the cup is made of is representative of the perceived durability of your relationship. [So ano yung akin? Matibay ang plastic ha! Hahahah :p]

8. What you did with the cup is representative of your attitude. [So I take everything as it comes? Haha gumagawa ng sariling interpretation, biased :p]

9. The size of the body of water is representative of the size of your sexual desire. [Erm, pano naman, nilagay ko lang flowing river? Gano kalaki yun? Haha.]

10. The way you cross the water is representative of how easy or hard you expect your life to be. [I like this. So my life would be hard because it's never easy to cross a flowing river, but since I want to feel the water, okay lang kasi I'd enjoy every step I make. Yay :)]

Coolness. :)
